Team NT Hockey Selected for the 2026 Arctic Winter Games

The road to Whitehorse is officially underway.

After three days of high energy training, competition, skill testing, and evaluation, Team NT has selected its Hockey athletes for the 2026 Arctic Winter Games. The trials brought together athletes from across the Northwest Territories, each arriving ready to compete, learn, and give their very best. From the first whistle to the final shift, the rink was filled with intensity, teamwork, respect, and pride. Every athlete who stepped onto the ice represented their community with heart.

Congratulations to the 2026 Team NT Hockey Athletes!!! We are proud to announce the athletes selected to represent Team NT at the 2026 Arctic Winter Games in Whitehorse:

We are proud of every athlete who took part. Selection is never easy. The trials process is designed to challenge athletes, test resilience, and create opportunities for growth. We are proud of every athlete who attended the trials. Every shift mattered. Every battle counted. Every athlete grew. This is how Team NT is built.

A sincere thank you to our coaches, officials, chaperones, volunteers, Sport North staff, school partners, and families who made these trials possible. Your support created an environment where athletes could compete at their best. Thank you to the City of Yellowknife and our venue partners for providing outstanding facilities and welcoming athletes from across the territory.

For our selected athletes, preparation now begins for Whitehorse 2026. For every athlete who participated, this is not the end. It is another step forward. The future of Hockey in the Northwest Territories is strong. And Team NT is ready. #weareallteamnt
