2026 Hockey NWT Memorial Challenge Brings Community Together

Hockey NWT is proud to host the 2026 Memorial Challenge, bringing together two groups who serve and protect our communities every day.

On Wednesday, April 1, the Yellowknife Multiplex will be the place to be as the RCMP take on the Yellowknife Fire Fighters in a special evening of hockey, connection, and community spirit. This event is more than just a game. It is an opportunity to come together, celebrate those who support our communities, and create a space where sport connects people in meaningful ways.

The Memorial Challenge highlights the role that hockey plays across the Northwest Territories, not only as a sport, but as a way to bring people together, share moments, and support one another. The evening will also feature a 50/50 raffle and food donations, adding to the community atmosphere and giving everyone a chance to contribute. Proceeds from the event will go toward supporting Hockey NWT programs, helping create opportunities and pathways for youth across the territory.
