Day 4
The NWT 55+ Men’s Hockey Team lost 6-2 this morning against BC, surrendering the bronze medal in the process. The team wishes to express its gratitude to Tyler Rentmeister and Billy Othmer from Sport North, Joan Hirons, Ben MacDonald, and the entire Board of the 55+Canada Games Association, and Kyle Kugler from Hockey North for all their support in getting us to Kamloops. Here’s to continued success and participation in Trois Rivière in 2024.
Day 3
The NWT 55+ Men’s Hockey Team had a very respectable showing against a powerful Ontario squad, losing 4-0 on their way to a third place finish in tournament round robin play. The NWT squad plays for the bronze medal tomorrow morning at 8:30a.m.

Day 1
The NWT 55+ Men’s Hockey Team lost 4-1 to Kelowna in their opening match of the 55+ Canada Games in Kamloops this morning. With the score 1-1 half way through the final period, Kelowna’s strong skating team pulled away, scoring three goals in the final 10 minutes of the game to earn the victory. The NWT plays another BC team tomorrow, finishing their round robin play against a strong Ontario team on Thursday.
Team NT sent 17 athletes to the 2022 Kamloops 55+ Games from Yellowknife, Hay River, Fort Simpson, Fort Providence, Fort Smith. The games are hosted in 5 different arenas in Kamloops from August 23rd until 26th, 2022. GO TEAM NT GO!!! We are wishing you all the best.
