2023 Canada Winter Games Teams
After 8 month of selection and preparation camps, Hockey NWT is excited to announce Team NT rosters that will be competing at the the 2023 Canada Games. We had a total of 111 athlete trying out for 40 spots on the U18 female and U16 male team, for the chance of a life time, competition at the prestigious multi sport event, that will be hosted February 2023 in Prince Edward Island.

Kaylee Grant, Head Coach U18 CWG Team: “We had a lot more numbers to pick from than in previous years, which was very exciting. There were some hard decisions, but we are now very comfortable with the team. We want the athletes to be successful, represent their team, get the experience and pushing themselves to make each other proud.”
Jenna Demarcke, Female CWG Athlete: “The try outs were definitely stressful and we all put a lot of work in. But a great experience as we did not have too many in the last few years. We have a very positive team, a lot of hard work went in and we will have a lot of fun, enjoy the experience and do our best at the 2023 Canada Winter Games."
Brad Mueller, Head Coach U16 CWG Team: “It has been a long time coming and a long process. We have a great team that we feel very comfortable taking to the 2023 Canada Winter Games in Prince Edward Island. The team is willing to give it their all and everyone is very proud to represent the Northwest Territories."
Matt MacKay, Male CWG Athlete: “I am very excited to be part of the Team and represent the Northwest Territories in Prince Edward Island. Great to see athletes from all over the country. We will play our best, stay positive and have a great mindset to never give up. The focus is to win and have fun."
