The transformation of the Multi-Sport Training Facility into the ARCAN Sport Facility marks a significant milestone, made possible through the generous support of ARCAN Construction Ltd., the official Title Sponsor.
Formerly an automotive repair shop, the ARCAN Sport Facility now stands as a versatile hub for athletic development and community engagement. This endeavor was realized through a collaborative effort between ASCNWT, NWT Softball, and Hockey NWT, demonstrating our shared collective commitment to fostering athletic excellence in the North.
Featuring amenities such as synthetic ice, artificial turf, and customizable sports flooring, the facility caters to a diverse range of sporting disciplines, including archery, hockey, softball, and Northern Games & Dene Games. Moreover, the recent renovations have introduced a multipurpose boardroom, providing a conducive environment for meetings, developmental clinics, and coaching courses.
The decision to embark on this project stemmed from a shared recognition among the partner organizations of the pressing need for a dedicated space to conduct their respective programs. By partnering together, we have alleviated the challenge of competing for prime time slots in rental spaces that often fell short in meeting our specific training requirements.
Looking ahead, the partners are eager to build upon this foundation and continue delivering exceptional programming to all their members.
