Hockey North Welcomes New Officials for the Season

Hockey NWT & Hockey North are thrilled to announce the addition of 19 new and returning officials to the team, all proudly donning their green armbands this season! This marks an exciting time for the organization as it continues to foster a strong community of referees dedicated to the sport.

In a heartfelt ceremony, Hockey North took a moment to honor Craig Hockridge, a dedicated Referee in Chief and a cherished friend to both Hockey North and Hockey NWT. Hockridge was presented with a framed jersey, a token of appreciation for his unwavering commitment and contributions to the hockey community.

The season kicked off with the first officials clinic held in the newly renovated Arcan Sport Facility, which proved to be a resounding success. The clinic provided essential training and resources for the officials, ensuring they are well-prepared for the challenges ahead. A special thank you goes out to Rob Gau for facilitating this important event, helping to equip the officials with the skills they need to excel on the ice.
