With over 30 years of experience in coaching and playing, Stapleton's love for hockey began at the age of 10. His dedication to the sport has been unwavering, driven by a deep-seated passion and a desire for growth. In 2022, he made the pivotal decision to move south, aiming to pursue a career in hockey at the highest levels.
Stapleton credits his background in the Northwest Territories as a significant influence on his development as both a player and a coach. "The joy I have seeing NWT athletes that I've coached over the years have success in the south is indescribable," he shares. "And when they see a former coach in my role, it shows that they can do this as well."
